The President of the GCIA, Judge Joseph Galea Debono and Mrs. Galea Debono and the Chairman of the Malta G.C. Branch, Mr. Peter Robinson and Mrs. Robinson had the occasion to be introduced to her Majesty the Queen and H.R.H. the Duke of Edinburgh in the course of a reception hosted by the President of Malta at San Anton Palace yesterday.

Her Majesty and his Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh are in Malta for a two day state visit in connection with this year's Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting .(CHOGM)

They were also introduced to His Royal Highness Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall who are also in Malta for this historic occasion which is rumoured to be the last one to be presided over by Her Majesty as Head of the Commonwealth.

Malta has a special place in Her Majesty's heart as she lived here for a number of months in the late forties as a young naval wife during the first years of her marriage to Prince Philip.
