The British Empire Medal has been awarded to Mr Tom Beswarick (North West branch Chairman) for services to the Community of Crosby Merseyside. These services include numerous charity fund raising campaigns, 41 years as a school governor and long-service as a Councilor and also as Mayor. Congratulations, Tom, it is well deserved. Mr Peter Robinson, MBE (Malta Branch Chairman and Chairman of the BRA, Malta).

As we now have this web site as a medium for communication to our members, it is also appropriate to mention here that Peter was awarded the MBE in the 2011 New Years Honours list for work in the British community in Malta. Peter and his wife Mary are seen here with Louise Stanton, OBE, the British High Commissioner for Malta. Peter and Mary also attended Buckingham Palace on 31st March 2011. Our congratulations, Peter, well deserved.
