Armed Forces Day 30th June

The Armed Forces of Malta Remembrance Day honoured its military personnel, who died in the service of their country or whilst serving in the Forces. A mass was held at the Luqa Barracks military chapel, officiated by the AFM’s chaplian Rev. Fr. Joseph Meli. Commander AFM, Brigadier Martin G. Xuereb, and Deputy Commander AFM, Colonel David P. Attard were in attendance, as well as around 180 AFM personnel. Members of the Italian Military Mission were also present for the commemoration service. The service was later followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the AFM’s grave site at the Addolorata Cemetery, during which AFM Band trumpeters played a the "Last Post" and "Reveille."
