There is one branch in the United Kingdom and members from all over the UK AND around the world are welcome to join. The same applies to the Malta branch - your place of residency does not preclude you from making the choice of which branch to join - or even to joining both !

UK Branch Committee
The Association AGM took place on the 20th September at the Royal Maritime Hotel, Portsmouth, with the Chairman opening the meeting at 10:30. The GCIA prayer was read by the Secretary after which, the Chairman read out the list of those that had crossed the bar.
Our Association Patron, His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester had sent a message of best wishes which the Chairman read and distributed copies to the attendees, also our President, Judge Joseph Galea Debono sent a message which the Secretary read. The Chairman of the Malta branch sent his message via the branch newsletter; the Secretary read out excerpts for attendees who all requested copies be emailed to them.
Discussions took place on how costs can be saved. There were a few really good suggestions made such as asking members if they would like to sponsor wreaths to help with dwindling funds. This was felt to be a good idea and already two attendees put their names forward to do so. Also suggested was that instead of three separate wreaths for each service at All Hallows, that one All Services wreath be laid, with representatives of each branch of the services approaching the memorial. These suggestions will all be considered.
The UK BRANCH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING took place on the 20th September 2025 following the Association AGM at the Royal Maritime Hotel, Portsmouth and the Chairman opened the meeting at 12:00.
Election of Committee members and Officers were proposed and seconded as follows and carried unanimously:
Discussion took place with regard to “future proofing” the committee. It was suggested that volunteer members could be groomed into the various positions so that in the future they may wish to volunteer for election. The job descriptions should be detailed so that members can see what is involved in each position. All agreed that this was advisable and should be actioned.
After the meetings members then explored Portsmouth returning for the Formal evening dinner at the hotel. Unfortunately the weather and the inaccessibility of the war memorial precluded the members from the usual wreath laying at the Southsea war memorial.
